- BERG age guide
- 3 to 8 years
Alongside the trampolines we stock 5 BERG pedal go-karts, from €299 to €595. They sit on three frames. The Buddy is the small one, the Rally is the middle one and the XL is big enough for a grown-up. Below you will find each kart with its price, a table that puts them side by side, and a walk through the ages to help you land on the right frame.
Every kart is delivered free to any address in Ireland, north or south. We keep all 5 in our own Irish warehouse, so a kart is delivered within 48 hours. You order on TrampolinesIreland.com, the shop behind this site and an official BERG Premium Dealer.

The age guides are BERG's. The prices are the shop's and already include delivery. You will notice no weights, tyre details or measurements in the table: we only publish figures we have checked. If one of them will decide it for you, ring 01 960 1641 and we will look up BERG's numbers for that kart while you are on the line.
BERG gives each frame an age guide, and the three guides overlap. Taken together they sort riders into five bands. Find your rider's band and you can see which frames are in the running and where the prices start.
| Rider's age | Frames inside BERG's guide | From | What to weigh up |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 years | Buddy | €299 | Only the Buddy starts this young, so the choice is between two colours. |
| 4 years | Buddy, Rally | €299 | The Rally's guide begins here. The Buddy is the smaller frame and the Rally is the one with more years left in it. |
| 5 to 8 years | Buddy, Rally, XL | €299 | All three guides overlap, so go by the child's size and by who else in the house will want a turn. |
| 9 to 12 years | Rally, XL | €459 | The Buddy's guide has ended. The Rally runs to twelve and the XL carries on past it. |
| 13 years to adult | XL | €595 | The XL is the one frame of the three with a guide that reaches adults. |
For a three-year-old the answer is the Buddy, because its guide of 3 to 8 years is the only one that reaches down that far. We stock it as the Buddy B.Orange and Buddy Lua. The two are the same kart: the Lua simply wears pink and green.
At four the Rally comes into play too. A small four-year-old will usually be more at ease on the Buddy. A tall one, or one with an older sibling to share with, may be better served by the Rally.
The Rally, with a guide of 4 to 12 years, covers this whole stretch, which is why it is the frame to look at first for a child in primary school. We stock the Rally NRG Orange and Rally DRT Green, from €459.
Between five and eight all three frames are within BERG's guides. Buying for one child of six? Think about how long you want the kart to last. Buying for a six-year-old and a ten-year-old to share? The Buddy drops out, since its guide stops at eight.
Once a rider passes twelve, the XL is the frame left. Its guide is 5 years to adult, so one kart can serve a seven-year-old, a teenager and a parent in the same afternoon. Ours is the XL B.Pure Blue BFR, at €595.
It is also the one to consider for a younger child when you know the adults will not be able to resist a go.
Age is only a guide. Two children of the same age can differ a good deal in leg length, and leg length is what reaches the pedals. If your rider sits near the edge of a band, tell us their height when you ring and we will give you a straight answer on which frame we would pick.
BFR is BERG's name for one of its hubs, and it describes three things the kart does through the pedals. Pedal forwards and the kart drives. Pedal backwards and it brakes. The kart can also reverse.
BERG puts the letters in the name of a kart fitted with it, which is how you can tell that the XL B.Pure Blue BFR has the hub. We have not listed the fittings of the other karts here. Each kart's page on the shop sets out what it comes with, and we are glad to check for you by phone.
These are pedal karts: a seat, a steering wheel, pedals and the rider's own effort. Nothing on them has a motor. People searching for go-karting sometimes mean a day out at a circuit, and that is a separate thing entirely. A BERG kart is one you own and ride at home.
Home means private ground. A garden, a yard, a cul-de-sac driveway with the gate closed or a quiet private lane all work. A public road never does, and that includes the quiet road outside your own gate. Keep an adult within reach of younger riders, and keep karts well away from anywhere vehicles or machinery are moving.
Before you order, walk the ground the kart will use. Firm, fairly level going is the easiest to pedal on, and soft wet grass is the hardest, above all for small legs.
On most of what we sell, delivery is free once the order passes €300 and costs €11.99 below that. Go-karts are treated differently: every kart ships free, whatever its price. That includes the Buddy B.Orange at €299, the lowest-priced kart on this page.
We deliver the kart boxed. BERG's manual, which comes in the box, covers putting it together. For how delivery works county by county, see delivery across Ireland.
A go-kart is one of the bigger boxes to hide, so most people want a firm date. Here are ours for this year.
The kart arrives boxed and BERG's manual covers assembly, so leave yourself time with it ahead of the morning.
Warranty. A BERG go-kart comes with BERG's manufacturer warranty. We do not have a confirmed length for karts to hand, so ask us and we will send you BERG's current terms before you buy.
Returns and parts. You can return a kart within 14 days. If you have changed your mind, or guessed the frame wrong, the return delivery is at your cost. If the kart is faulty, damaged or the wrong one, it is at ours. We keep genuine BERG spare parts, and we will price match an authorised Irish BERG dealer if you ask.
Extras. The shop lists three kart accessories: a passenger seat, Buddy lights and a push handle. Ask us which of them fits your kart, and whether it is available, before you add one.
How to order. Each card and each table row above opens that kart on TrampolinesIreland.com, where you pay. The shop's go-kart page shows them together. Would you sooner talk first? Ring 01 960 1641, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Trampolines Ireland has been selling online since 2020, has delivered more than 8,000 orders and is rated 5.0 on Google.
Planning a trampoline as well? Start with the trampoline finder, or send us photos for a free garden consultation and we will look at the whole garden with you.
The 5 we stock are all pedal karts. The rider's legs do the work and there is nothing to charge or refuel. They are garden toys, a different product from the motor karts you hire at a karting circuit.
BERG's age guides are 3 to 8 years for the Buddy, 4 to 12 years for the Rally and 5 years to adult for the XL. The guides overlap between four and twelve, so a child's height and build matter as much as the birthday. Ring us with both and we will tell you which frame we would go for.
BFR is the name of a BERG hub. With it you pedal forwards to move, pedal backwards to brake, and the kart can reverse as well. Among our karts the letters appear in the name of the XL B.Pure Blue BFR. For any other kart, check its page on the shop or ask us what it is fitted with.
No. A pedal kart belongs on private ground: a garden, a yard, a driveway with the gate shut. It should never go out on a public road, and younger riders should have an adult close by.
Yes. Free delivery on other orders begins at €300, but go-karts are an exception and every one ships free, the €299 Buddy B.Orange included. That holds for all 32 counties.
All 5 karts are kept in our own Irish warehouse and are delivered within 48 hours. We confirm the day when you order, and somebody needs to be at the address to sign.
Wednesday 16 December. An in-stock kart ordered by then is delivered before Christmas. If you miss that date, ring us: collection from our warehouse is possible by appointment up to 12 noon on Christmas Eve.
Each kart carries BERG's manufacturer warranty. We do not hold a confirmed figure for its length on karts, so we will not print one. Ask us before you order and we will get you BERG's current terms.
Tell us the rider's age and height, and who else in the family will be pedalling. We will say which frame we would choose and confirm when it can be with you.
